There’s been a lot of news this week and most of it is bad. The Friday Jobs Numbers were disappointing, Super Pacs say they are willing to spend over a Billion Dollars in the GOP campaign against Obama. Funny, they never said the money was for Romney’s campaign, but against Obama. They are trying to buy the Government which is a good reason for all of us to demand that Citizens United go bye bye and put in place stricter regulations for money in politics.
The jobs numbers affected the stock market that dropped quite a bit by Friday afternoon, but it wasn’t just the jobs numbers, what really effected the market was what is happening in Europe and the Eurozone. There are economists that are saying that the Euro could be on it’s way out because of the countries who’s economies are crashing, like Greece, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Portugal. Those countries economies could crash the Euro.
And it’s not just Europe that’s having problems…China, yes China is having it’s own problems as is Brazil, Russia, Japan and India. Nouriel Roubini is predicting a world wide recession.
And all this is a good reason to corner Mitt Romney and ask him to outline his plans on how he will fix our economy. He’s put nothing forward as a plan. All he’s done is blame Obama for everything including what Romney did wrong It’s time for the Media to demand that Romney tell us his plan, because up to now, they have given Romney a pass.
Now Voter Suppression: Gov. Scott of Florida ordered that the voter roles be purged, ala Katherine Harris, The purge found some people it shouldn’t have and, after several days and nagging by the left, the media finally got hold of the story. And again, with a concerted effort by the left and the media, the Justice Department got involved and told Gov. Scott to stop the purge.
But voter purging isn’t the only form of voter suppression. Many state require a voter ID card that many people are unable to get and some IDs come with a charge that many can’t afford. Shorter Early Voting, limiting the amount of polling places are other ways to suppress the vote. Driving miles to a polling place to vote leaves out people that don’t drive or can’t take off work and the sick and elderly are left out too.
There’s a grand plan here and it’s plain to see. No tin foil hats required to see what is happening. All you need do is read, watch more than one channel news program on TV, and if you have the internet, use it to research. Our Country is at stake so take the time to check what is really happening.

Rev. Al has Gingrich on his show and puts him in the corner about the meeting of the GOP that Gingrich attended the night of Obama’s Inaugural planning to block everything Obama want’s to do.
It starts about 9 minutes into the segment…watch:

And one more video from last night. Michael Eric Dyson was subbing for Ed Schultz and had this segment on the poll that Americans, in a majority, think the GOP is sabotaging the economy to hurt Obama’s chances of a second term.

@mire: Walking up to Sam as if I knew him — but we feel that we do — I even mentioned we had met before (and I saw him visibly trying to remember where but I didn’t remind him it was at the David Sirota booksigning where I had spoken with the two of ‘em — those pix on Flickr and blogged). Mentioning my Blue Roots connection was a real opener too. And he was flattered by the fact I could quote from one of his recent shows. Yes it was like meeting family albeit I DID gush a bit, but I suspect that was charming: the pretty-ish older woman behaving girlish. But he was just soooo nice and as real as on line.
In case you haven’t seen them yet, the pix are on my FB page but I should post them on one of my blogs, too — Chris Hayes was a real sweetie too — even agreeing readily to be in a pic when another person offered to take a photo of the two of us when she overheard me asking him if I could get a shot of HIM.
I’m being repetitive but it bears repeating — it was such a terrific evening which the rain couldn’t really dampen as long as I could keep my books dry.
And thanks, everyone, for being here so I can share and make my experience OUR experience, since it truly was more meaningful because of our shared friendship, almost familial relationship, sorta mystical, our sacred contract to be together, even if from a distance. Awesome. Live is good. Despite the bad things that occur, life is good. Peace hugs!
OMG, Toni — all these good things you are posting and I gotta leave for work. ARGH! Hope they keep the links active for the videos. Rev. Al and GOP plot AND a poll that the Americans are waking up to it?!!??!!!!! Great stuff for the Proligarchy to see and share!! Thanks you!
@johnson: You remind me of my dad…when he was sick with esophageal cancer, he made a shunt out of plastic on his lathe and took it to the doctor who agreed to insert it in his esophagus so he could get food down a while longer…my dad was an inventor and invented plastic mouthpieces for the trumpet to eliminate the freezing of lips on cold days for marching bands….my dad was a trip!
@mhappenow: Somehow strapping a canvas bag to a crutch doesn’t compare imho. What your dad did was genius what I did was not even clever but thanks for the comparison. You got your dad’s brains but are using them for different science.
I think I’m gonna have to conk myself out today or be all cranky with pain. One crank on this blog is enough.
@johnson: Get your rest. You need it to heal! Little naps helped me.
@johnson: you still remind me of him….
take those pain pills …low levels of pain aids healing…wish I could be closer to at least pay you a gimp bed visit!
Having problems this morning. I updated my flash player and ever since I’ve had problems. Doing a scan now just in case.

There’s an all out war against Obama from the media right now.
They’re asking for a new message from Obama but aren’t asking Romney for any message! Romney is controlling his campaign and saying very little and choosing who he says it to. But the media isn’t pushing him or even criticizing him about it. If Obama tried to do that there would be hell to pay by both media and GOP. Where are the damn Dems!!!
Obama has a big speech in Ohio tomorrow so we’ll see what he has to say.
I’m seeing signs I don’t like and we’ll be SOL before anything is done about it.
What do you think about writing the supreme court about Citizens United and how it has caused a plunge in faith for the ethics of the court. I am kind of afraid of being put on some kill list or something…(the extent of my lack of faith)…
Wouldn’t they be disheartened of their reputation was damaged?
@mhappenow: The RWers on the court couldn’t give a crap about their reputation IMO.
But it’s worth a try. Nothing to lose at this point.
I’m very depressed and scared for this country today.
